Lauba House has launched the call for volunteers!

Work in various fields of activity of Lauba House Volunteering Program provides young people with a chance to gain practical experience of museology and familiarity with an important private collection of contemporary art. We would like to encourage networking of students from related areas and give them an opportunity to gain and exchange knowledge and experiences.

Volunteering Program is aimed at university students in their final year and recent graduates from humanistic, art or economic studies. We want to create a team of people coming from different backgrounds: art history, visual arts, design, architecture, philosophy, sociology, pedagogy, directing, film production and economy, who have different interests in contemporary art and their programs.

Lauba opening hours are from 15:00 to 23:00 every day. Working hours of participants of the Volunteering Program are from 14:30 to 19:00 in the first shift, and from 19:00 to 23:00 in the second shift. Each participant works in both shifts, six days a week, according to a pre-prepared schedule.

The volunteers in Lauba House Volunteering Program are not paid, and the program lasts three months. The program starts on Monday, February 27th, by signing a volunteer agreement for three months, and it ends on May 20th, 2012. In the first week volunteers will work in shifts with experienced volunteers from the summer program and go through an education process. After the successfully completed volunteering program, all the volunteers will get certificates of volunteering and recommendations.

Before signing the contract, all the candidates are advised to prepare and familiarize themselves with the collection, if they have not done that already.
