Bring your kids to Lauba House and our students will guide them through an art workshop. It offers you free time to see the Collection while your kids are spending meaningful time with our team. The workshop is intended for children age 5 to 12. Younger children can participate under parental supervision. Entrance is charged at the reduced summer rate. No applications are needed – simply join us on Saturday in Lauba. The workshop starts at 3 PM.
Workshop leader is a young academic painter, our dear intern Ivona Jurić!
"At the moment I am interested in bringing together everything I have learned so far - drawings, collages, graphics... I try to saturate the surface with as many various impulses as possible, in order to maximize the effect of the informational chaos. These giant surfaces echo the same energy of the work in the street, serving as platforms for following works both in the street and in the studio. The process is based on improvisation, yet once enough elements are at play, I start shifting between a number of smaller works developed from the original image. I often use one visual situation over and over again, each time adding another layer and employing it in a different context. It is not unusual for me to start a series of works with a small collage pasted in the street, which I then photograph, print, blow-up using a photocopier, colour, remix and, now as a part of a larger work, either paste on the street or incorporate again in one of my studio works." - Puma 34
