Lauba – House for People and Art launches its new product in December – the KOLEKTART sales exhibition. Whether you are looking for artwork to enhance your living or working space, an inspiring and exclusive gift for your business partners, or you simply are a passionate collector, KOLEKTART gives you the opportunity to have a unique, world-class shopping experience with Lauba’s quality guarantee.

The artists represented by Lauba and whose works you can see during KOLEKTART are: Marija Ujević-Galetović, Gordana Bakić, Đuro Seder, Duje Jurić, Kristian Kožul, Alem Korkut, and the TARWUK Art Collective comprising Bruno Pogačnik and Ivana Vukšić. In addition to these carefully selected artists, Lauba’s sales concept has been enriched by two other great artistic names: Marko Tadić and Igor Eškinja. Marko Tadić is an artist whose works are considered one of the most interesting artistic works of our scene. He represented Croatia at the Venice Biennale in 2017 and is the recipient of all major contemporary art awards: Vladimir Nazor Award for Best Exhibition, Radoslav Putar Award for Best Young Contemporary Artist, etc. Works by Igor Eškinja have been featured in major international exhibitions and are featured in significant collections and museums such as MAXXI, Rome; MAC / VAL, Paris; FRAC-Pays de la Loire, Nantes; MMSU Rijeka, MSU Zagreb. He is the recipient of the first T-HT Award for Croatian Contemporary Art.

Another exclusivity of KOLEKTART are the works of Gorgonas Đuro Seder, who will present his new cycle, and the works of Miljenko Horvat – the youngest member of Gorgon who left a deep mark in Croatian contemporary art, although he spent most of his life abroad (Paris, Montreal) where he developed a notable artistic career.

KOLEKTART is making Lauba an unavoidable city location during this December as it offers unique side events in addition to masterpieces of Croatian contemporary art. We would like to point out the opening of Kolektart on December 16 at 7 pm, which will be accompanied by a musical performance by one of the most prominent protagonists of the Croatian contemporary music scene – the Cantus Ensemble. Documentary “The Price of Everything” examining the functioning of the art market Lauba is showing on December 17 at 9 pm. This extraordinary event, modelled after the world’s galleries, will be brought by the Gallery Party on December 18 at 9pm, a concept that stands out in the crazy fun season with a sophisticated blend of visual and music art in a unique gallery setting. Chief Chef of Bistro Lauba will present a special menu to perfectly complement the holiday atmosphere in Lauba. During this period Lauba’s opening hours will be extended until midnight.
