Lauba najavljuje veliku izložbu Plamena Dejanoffa!
Jedna od najvećih ikona suvremene svjetske umjetnosti dolazi u Laubu – kuću za ljude i umjetnost te će se hrvatskoj javnosti po prvi puta predstaviti selekcijom pedesetak radova iz svog recentnog opusa. Neki od radova producirani su isključivo za veliku izložbu u Laubi.

Dejanoff je miljenik publike, kolekcionara i izlagača diljem svijeta. Njegovi radovi su produkt podrobnog istraživanja ekonomskih struktura i tržišta. O njegovom uspjehu svjedoče renomirani klijenti poput BMWa, Porschea, Samsonitea te sama činjenica da su njegovi radovi uvršteni u stalni postav vodećih svjetskih galerija suvremene umjetnosti.

Dejanoff je već dvadeset godina prisutan na svjetskoj umjetničkoj sceni. Rođen je u Bugarskoj, a već duži niz godina živi na dvije adrese, Berlinu i Beču, gdje je i završio školu za umjetnost i arhitekturu. Dejanoff je jedan od umjetnika koji svojevoljno prihvaća strategije konzumerizma, ekonomije i marketinga. Na tragu ready-made koncepta Dejanoff pripada svijetu konceptualne umjetnosti pritom koristeći elemente i objekte iz popularne kulture koji unutar galerijskog konteksta poprimaju novo semiotičko značenje kroz prizmu socio-kulturološkog iskustva.

Vođen temeljima koje su postavili Duchamp i Warhol, uz ironični pristup Koonsa s kojim ga umjetnička kritika često uspoređuje, Dejanoff je osvojio naklonost publike, kolekcionara te izlagača diljem svijeta. Njegova umjetnost se razvija u skladu s vremenom konsantno preispitujući poziciju umjetnika u suvremenom društvu.

U svojim radovima Dejanoff često koristi i elemente iz arhitekture. U Laubi će biti prikazani dijelovi projekata “The Bronze House” i “Planets of Comparison” za čije je potrebe Dejanoff izradio detaljne replike građevina srednjovjekovnog grada Veliko Trnovo u Bugarskoj u kojem je rođen.
Pomno isplanirana marketniška strategija u suradnji s vodećim kompanijama koje se brinu o njegovom imidžu te prisutnosti njegove persone od Dejanoff-a je stvorila svojevrsnu ikonu.
Tijekom svoje dugogodišnje karijere Dejanoff je izlagao u vodećim umjetničkim institucijama diljem svijeta. Na impresivnom popisu sada će se naći i Lauba – kuća za ljude i umjetnost.

Otvorenje izložbe biti će popraćeno posebnim programom.
Već tradicionalni LAUBATALK – razgovor s umjetnikom, moderira kustos Laube, Mario Guček Andromak. Neposredno nakon otvorenja, večer nastavljamo u znaku dobre zabave u unutrašnjem i vanjskom prostoru, koja će potrajati do ranih jutarnjih sati.

Lauba opens its space to host the exhibition by one of the biggest icons of contemporary art, Plamen Dejanoff! With his first solo exhibition in Croatia, Plamen will present himself to the public with a selection of over 50 works from his recent opus. Some of the works were produced exclusively for the exhibition at Lauba.

Dejanoff won the favor with the audiences, collectors and exhibitors from around the world. His works are the product of thorough research of economic structures and market. Renowned clients such as BMWs, Porsche, Samsonite, and the fact that his works are included in the permanent collection of the world’s leading contemporary art museums and galleries testify about his success.

Dejanoff has been present on the contemporary art scene for over 20 years. He was born in Bulgaria, and for many years lived and worked at two addresses, Berlin and Vienna, where he graduated from School for Art and Architecture. Dejanoff is one of the artists who willingly accepts the strategies of consumerism, economy and marketing. In the wake of the ready-made concept Dejanoff belongs to the world of conceptual art while using elements and objects from popular culture which within the gallery context acquire new semiotic meaning through the prism of socio-cultural experiences.

Driven by the foundations set by Duchamp and Warhol, with an ironic approach Koons, Dejanoff won favor with the audiences, collectors and exhibitors from around the world. His art is constantly evolving and evaluating the role and position of the artist within contemporary society.

In his works Dejanoff frequently uses elements of architecture.
Projects like the “The Bronze House” and “Planets of Comparison” for whose needs Dejanoff made detailed replicas of buildings from the medieval city of Veliko Tarnovo in Bulgaria in which he was born, will also be presented as a part of the exhibition in Lauba.

Carefully planned marketing strategy in cooperation with leading companies that take care of the image and presence of his persona transformed Dejanoff into an icon of popular culture.

During his long career Dejanoff has exhibited in major art institutions around the world. With this ehibition, Lauba – House for People and Art will be one of the institutions on that impressive list.

Now traditional LAUBATALK – interview with the artist, is moderated by the curator Lauba’s chief curator, Mario Guček Andromak. Shortly after opening, the evening will continue in the both indoors and outdoors and and last until the early morning hours.
