The Zagreb Salon was founded by the Assembly of the City of Zagreb in 1965. It is one of the oldest group exhibitions of recent visual expression in Croatia. Since 1976, different art disciplines have alternated at the exhibition in a triennial rhythm: visual art, applied art and design, and architecture, and it is alternately organized by the Croatian Association of Fine Artists of Applied Arts (ULUPUH), the Croatian Society of Fine Artists (HDLU) and the Association of Croatian Artists of architects (UHA). The new edition of the Salon is dedicated to applied art and design according to the concept of curator Branka Benčić called “I DON’T WORK ALONE”, which intends to show the works of Croatian applied artists and designers over the past 3 years.
