Fellini 100: Amarcord
On Saturday, January 18, 2020 we are celebrating 100 years of one of the biggest film directors in cooperation with Motovun Film Festival.
18:00 – 20:00 QUIZ WITH MORANA ZIBAR
Roberto Rossellini, Vittorio De Sica, Cesare Zavattini, Luchino Visconti, Giuseppe De Santis… what do you know about Italian neorealists? It doesn’t matter if you don’t know much! Professor Morana Zibar promised to be gentle while testing your knowledge of Italian culture and lifestyle.
19:45 – FELLINI EXHIBITION AND FOOD
In Fellini’s films, and to some extent in his graphics, taste emerges as an extremely important sensation that closely borders on eros. In Lauba we will host an exhibition in three sections: Drawings on paper, Drawings on cloth napkins and Drawings from a dream book, as well as a video documentary Fellini and Food. Bon appetite!
20:00 – SOUNDTRACK ENSEMBLE
The phenomenal crew of Davorka Horvat (voice and accordion), Christian Peter (voice, harana and saw), Berislav Antica (piano and soprano saxophone), and Damir Horvat (alt and baritone saxophone and voice) bring the most famous themes from Fellini’s films as an introduction into the projection of his most famous work.
20:15 – AMARCORD – FILM PROJECTION
“Amarcord” tells the story of a rambunctious group of characters who lived in Rimini, Fellini’s birthplace, during Fascist rule. He won an Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film and entered film history as one of the most important, most emotional and inspiring works in European cinema.
