The second exhibition in Lauba’s this year’s cycle “Pass It On” – exhibition by Marta Dijak
The exhibition opens on Saturday, April 6, 2024 at 7:00 p.m., and runs until April 11.

“Pass It On” is Lauba’s project, which gives young artists, students, the opportunity to exhibit their works in a gallery. It is a series of pop-up exhibitions that alternate in a dynamic rhythm. The game begins when the artists whose exhibition is set up choose the next artist themselves, and after five held exhibitions one artist chooses Lauba, and so on in the circle. Unlike last year’s, this year’s “Pass It On” exhibitions are set up in the space in front of Lauba’s great hall.
The second artist in this year’s cycle of the “Pass It On” platform is Marta Dijak, who was nominated by Marta Katavić, and at the opening, find out who Marta Dijak will nominate next!

In her work, Marta Dijak starts from observing what surrounds her, the spaces in which she resides and through which she moves. In this set of works, she compares natural phenomena and human creations. She chooses motifs according to the principle of attractiveness, lets anything attract her attention, and subsequently notices connections between the chosen motifs. Looking at these works, she reflects on the relationship between man and his environment; how she reshapes the space and adapts it to herself, how she does it so naturally and automatically, leaving traces that she is not even aware of.
