PASS IT ON_DORIAN PACAK

Lauba’s project cycle “Pass it on” continues with exhibitions by young authors, and this time hosts a graduate student at the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb – Dorian Pacak. The opening of the exhibition “Dinostalgia” will be held on Thursday 2.12. at 7 pm at the Lauba bistro.
DINOSTALGIA
“I like to go back to my early childhood in my thoughts. I often imagine how I felt then and what made me happy in my first days. When everything was much simpler and when life was mostly reduced to a game and through that game insensitive learning, time passed more slowly and the world was much more colorful. These works are my dedication to that time. They try to materialize it in order to evoke memories of more colorful and cheerful times. I choose the dinosaur motive because it was they who marked my childhood and aroused my curiosity to discover the world. As a child, I would often played with cheap, plastic interpretations of these long-lost creatures, and these toys have remained colorful and happy memories that I gladly return to and that help me solve “adult” problems.”
