Diapason d’Or, the German Critics’ Award, the Grammy nomination – these are just some of the awards for the Dutch great choral musician, conductor Daniel Reuss. One of the greatest authorities in the field of vocal, choral music, Daniel Reuss has led or leads a number of ensembles whose performances unanimously meet the enthusiasm of the audience and the praise of critics. Capello Amsterdam led to the status of a professional ensemble and the most sought after in the Netherlands. As artistic director and chief conductor of the Berlin RIAS Chamber Choir, he also won the Diapason d’Or and the German Critics’ Award for Record Achievement. As artistic director of the Estonian Philharmonic Chamber Choir, along with Cappella Amsterdam, he was nominated for a Grammy 2010. As a guest conductor he was invited to collaborate with leading ensembles across Europe, such as Akademie für Alte Musik, MusikFabrik, Vocal Consort Berlin, Rotterdam Philharmonic and Orchestra the Eighteen Century. Since 2014, he has been the artistic director of the Vocal Lausanne ensemble. As a “dedicated non-specialist” he conducts a repertoire from the 13th century to the present day.
