Duje Jurić

Duje Jurić was born on April 18, 1956 in Rupe, near Skradin. He graduated in 1981 from the Department of Painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb, in the class of prof. Vasilije Jordan. After his studies, he works as a freelance artist, and since 1984 he has recorded his first solo exhibitions at home and abroad. In the late 1980s, he collaborated with Julije Knifer on the realization of his murals in Salzburg, Geneva, Séte and Dijon (1991, where Jurić also had his first solo foreign exhibition). Since 2000 he has been working as an assistant professor and then as an associate professor at the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb. In more than thirty years of artistic practice, Jurić has exhibited in numerous solo and group exhibitions of local and international character (Brighton, Budapest, Prague, Seoul, Bochum, Johannesburg, Riga, Cairo, Mainz, Sofia, Sarajevo, Paris, Skofja Loka, Dijon, New Delhi, Ljubljana, Palma de Mallorca, Mainz, Trieste, Marseille, Belgrade, etc.). He has been repeatedly awarded for his artistic work.
